Bon Echo 101

June 22-23, 2019

The Bon Echo 101 weekend has become a Toronto Section tradition. Climbers who have never been to Bon Echo for climbing are teamed up with experienced climbers to introduce them to this beautiful area.

Bon Echo has a large number of trad routes (no sport routes) on a cliff rising out of the lake and only accessible by boat or canoe.

Because the cliff lies within a provincial park, there are rules that must be observed (mandatory helmets is one). Make yourself familiar with them at the section website: alpineclubtoronto.ca/bonecho/

It is strongly recommended that you plan to arrive on Friday evening for a 101 weekend. Contact Gavin Smith at gavin@gavinsmith.ca as early as possible to request a spot with a leader for 101, or by Thursday evening to let them know when you are arriving if you are not participating in 101.

You will be picked up at the public dock at the time you agree upon with Gavin.

All participants are required to read, understand and sign a colour copy of the standard club waiver https://alpineclubtoronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/ACCWaiver.pdf
