Sport Climbing at Metcalfe

Saturday, August 17, 2019
Metcalfe Rock,
We will meet in the Lower Parking Lot at 10:30 am.

This will be a fun climbing day at Metcalfe Rock.  All climbing abilities are encouraged.  This is an excellent opportunity to get out with a great group of people, share climbing stories and hopefully conquer some new routes. Metcalfe Rock is one of several crags in the Beaver Valley area with splendid views, a short approach and a good number of moderate and difficult sport and trad routes. This trip will focus on sport climbing, therefore several sport lead climbers will be needed.

Maximum: 8 participants.

GEAR: Helmet (mandatory), harness, climbing shoes, belay device and locking carabiner, slings and locking carabiners, rope, quick draws and any other personal items (e.g. lunch, water, clothing, etc).

TRIP LEADER (s): Victoria Farmer,vichfarmer@gmail.com and Brenda Ferguson fergie_baf@hotmail.com

TRIP CLASSIFICATION: B
