<p>Join us for three days, two nights of hiking on the Bruce Trail. We will bag 67 kms of trail. Test your gear and get in shape for extended trips later in the season. There will be hiking on Bruce Trail Maps 9 to 12, as we immerse ourselves in the outdoors.</p>

<p><strong>Itinerary:</strong> </p>

Hike Approx 18 KMs starting from Burlington.  <br>Begin to hike at 10 a.m. to Wilderness Site at <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://tracking.cirrusinsight.com/e385f38b-7a11-49f5-95e9-6154d7d8fd41/google-com-maps-place-mount-nemo-scout-camp-4284-side-rd-2-burlington-on-l7r-3x4-43-4239824-79-8535268-16z-data-3m1-4b1-4m5-3m4-1s0x882b640da0dccd1d-0xcfb8b75bfcff3aad-8m2-3d43-4236963-4d-79-8499813" target="_blank">Mt Nemo Scout Camp</a>: 4284 Side Rd 2, Burlington, ON L7R 3X4.  Pace will be mild as we gear up for day 2.<br></p>

Soak in the sunset.</p>



<p><strong>Day 3</strong>: Approx 22.5 km<br>Finish:&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://tracking.cirrusinsight.com/e385f38b-7a11-49f5-95e9-6154d7d8fd41/google-com-maps-place-speyside-bruce-trail-43-5777991-79-9793523-17z-data-3m1-4b1-4m5-3m4-1s0x882b7162e501850f-0x7ad437b3e2a30727-8m2-3d43-5777991-4d-79-9771636" target="_blank">Speyside Nature Reserve</a><br>Pace: Early start, medium pace, minimal breaks. Will be sore! Car shuttle back.</p>



<p><strong>Required Gear</strong>: Camping gear (tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, stove). Hiking gear (clothing, good shoes, headlamps), food and water for the weekend. <p><strong>Costs</strong> will be dependent on the number of participants and will range between $40 to $50.  Hikers are responsible for all gas, parking and park entrances which can be up to $7.  A $10 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required upon registration. Prices are subject to change due to unforeseen events or costs, and participants are responsible for any overflow costs. </p>



<p>Notes: Alcohol is prohibited in the campsites. All cooking is done with backpacking stoves though campfires might be possible. Whatever you pack in you must pack out. Participants will be contacted to arrange non-mandatory car pooling, sharing of tents, stoves and food.<br>Bring cash for possible entrance fees and an emergency Uber . </p>

<p>It is strongly recommended that you plan to arrive on Friday evening for a 101 weekend. Contact Gavin Smith at&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="mailto:gavin@gavinsmith.ca" target="_blank">gavin@gavinsmith.ca</a>&nbsp;as early as possible to request a spot with a leader for&nbsp;101, or by Thursday evening to let them know when you are arriving if you are not participating in&nbsp;101. </p>



<p>You will be picked up at the public dock at the time you agree upon with Gavin. </p>
