Applications for the 2025 ACC Climbing Leadership Course are now being accepted. This year’s course will be held in Squamish, BC from August 7th to 10th, 2026 with two evening online sessions on August 3rd and 4th, 2026. It will focus on the skills needed to run a top rope crag session, including hazard management, anchor building, rope management, rescue skills and more!

The trip is posed on ACC National’s Website as Section Climbing Leadership Course; you will need to login to apply. Also note that application requires section endorsement; please contact Stanis Yu at leadership@alpineclubtoronto.ca if you are interested in applying and have questions.

Applicants will be required to submit a complete application no later than midnight (PT) on May 31st, 2026.

WHERE: Everton Scout Camp

COST: $425 (HST included) per course, includes books and accommodation. Does not include meals. 100% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required for registration.  *Consult trip leader for payment deadlines.

$50 discount will be offered to those who sign up for both the basic and advance.

Wilderness First Aid: Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.  No other pre-requisites required.
Additionally on site there is a cliff with a large ledge, making it a great teaching setting for climber focused first aid and rescue.

Advanced Wilderness First Aid: CANADIAN RED CROSS ADVANCED WILDERNESS AND REMOTE FIRST AID CERTIFICATION 20+ hours of instruction by David Dick (Alpha Response). This is an extension to the previous weekend’s course open only to those who have completed the basic wilderness and remote first aid certificate.  Skills will be reviewed and practiced in greater detail, expanding student’s proficiency

GEAR: Camping gear if intending to camp

ACCOMMODATIONS: Camping will be allowed on site, be prepared for the weather.

PARTICIPANTS: Minimum of 8 participants required to offer each course. Maximum of 16 per course.
