WHAT: Beginner Hiking to Waterfalls – Albion Falls to Buttermilk Falls to Felker Falls

WHEN: Sunday March 17, 2018 at 10:30am
WHERE: Meet at Felker’s Falls parking lot 43 Ackland Street. Stoney Creek/Hamilton depending on GPS

DESCRIPTION: Out and back hike via Albion to Buttermilk to Felkers falls. Bruce Trail map #7; total distance about 9km on partly paved trail and a short distance on road shoulder; free parking at Felkers Falls. The waterfalls may or may not be frozen. Wonderful hiking and beautiful views.

COST: Possible nominal walk-in fee without Bruce Trail Membership
GEAR: Hiking boots, microspikes (condition dependent), personal first aid kit (bandaids etc), appropriate clothing for weather conditions, lunch, water. Depending on weather the falls could be frozen and trails could be solid ice requiring mandatory traction devices for hiking boots. Or the trails could be slippery sucking mud, slick wet ice and slushy snow with free flowing waterfalls.
