The ACC Toronto Section is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for members of all backgrounds and experience.  The DEI committee strives to advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in all section activities and events.

Land Acknowledgement

The Alpine Club of Canada Toronto section acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.

  • The ACMG, in conjunction with Arc’teryx, runs an affinity program for folks that results in free TRCI certification with the ACMG. It’s available to anybody who is a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or is BIPOC. You can see more information at https://tapacmg.ca/trci-diversity.php
  • Congratulations to our very own Janet Wong for their part in People Like Us!
    People Like Us celebrates the existence of queer folks in non-urban environments and shows that healthy queer communities can flourish in small towns.
