Dear Members! We are getting really close to the completion of the renovations to the Bon Echo Hut! We could not have completed the project without the support of our amazing volunteers who have helped cut down trees, carry material across the lake, and make the overall experience fun. The Alpine Club of Canada, Toronto Section, working together with the Ontario Alliance of Climbers (formerly Ontario Access Coalition), is pleased to report that following productive discussions with the landowner, ice climbing will once again be tolerated at Bow Lake. Tolerated = Climbing access is informally accepted.  Tread lightly. Help us preserve access by abiding by the following: The property in question is not being maintained, and climbers must voluntarily assume any and all risks associated with use of the property. Dear Mountaineers The North Face Leadership Course is The Alpine Club Of Canada’s flagship program for training aspiring section trip leaders. Through alpine environments and technical travel, these leadership courses emphasize the ‘human-factor’ in leader’s decision-making, applicable to ACC activities across Canada. The Toronto section can endorse up one candidate for the course. We are now accepting applications.
