Probably another Work Party weekend

UPDATE  MAY 4, 2019 … CLIMBING WEEKEND CANCELLED AND REPLACED WITH THE WORK PARTY  …

The extreme flooding on the Mazinaw Lake has had a domino effect. Smart’s Marina hasn’t been able to install its docks, so we don’t have access to our boat, which means we can’t get our own dock into the water, and the builder hasn’t been able to cross the lake to finish the interior work. So the hut has no working kitchen at the moment and we can’t guarantee it will be completed by the start of the Victoria Day weekend. Unfortunately, that means we have to cancel the general climbing weekend. 

The work party scheduled for May 11-12 had had to be moved to the Victoria Day the long weekend to wrap up let-over tasks and have the hut ready for climbers by late May. If they are finished by the Monday there may be some climbing but it will be limited to work party volunteers, owing to the kitchen situation.
