The North Face Course Summer Leadership Course 2019

The North Face Leadership Course is The Alpine Club Of Canada`s flagship program for aspiring section trip leaders.

Through alpine environments and technical travel, these leadership courses emphasize the ‘human-factor’ in leader`s decision-making, applicable to ACC activities across Canada.
The Summer course will be offered this year between August 3rd and August 10th 2019 as part of the General Mountaineering Camp. The cost of the course is $1095+tax.

In order to give the Toronto Section Leadership and Training Committee time to review and assist with Section Endorsements and/or Section Volunteer Leader letters of reference the deadline for application at the Toronto Section level will be March 16th, 2019.

Application Steps:
1. Section Endorsement – The form at this location https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ReCNXJho6Pi2aOEKj91QjcSaIpkWEUf9zs4wNMm57CY/viewform?ts=5c586593&edit_requested=true is your request for section endorsement, please complete in full and submit before March 16th for Leadership and Training Committee and Executive consideration. Your Section Executive will send their endorsement of approved candidate`s applications directly to the national club by midnight March 22nd.

2. Completed Alpine Club of Canada national level course application form (https://form.jotform.com/42515133798964). By submitting this form it will automatically be sent to the National Office. This must be done by midnight March 22nd. To ensure that you have received Toronto Section endorsement it is likely best to wait to submit this until you have received confirmation of endorsement.

3. Short letters of reference from two climbing partners who can attest to your skills and experience. One must be an ACMG guide, Camp Manager or Section Volunteer Leader. References (including name, relationship, and email address) should send their letters directly to adventures@alpineclubofcanada.ca. These must be received by midnight March 22nd and will be considered by the national level club as part of your application.
