COURSE / TRIP NAME: Trad Climbing Course With Leslie Timms

DESCRIPTION: Have you always wanted to learn how to climb outdoors in the traditional style? Are you an experienced or beginning outdoor rock climber, and want to progress into pitching trad or alpine rock climbs? Want to know how to safely lead and follow in the traditional style, place gear, build, tear down, and critique anchor systems? This is the weekend for you.

The ACC Toronto Section has teamed up with Leslie Timms and On The Rocks Climbing to bring you a trad climbing course just like that.

Course space is limited to 6 participants, and we expect that it will fill fast. Full payment is required to secure a spot in the course.

DATES: June 29 and 30, 2019. (Saturday and Sunday)

LOCATION: Metcalfe Rock (Approximately 2 hours from Toronto). Details to follow.

PRICE: $330 non-refundable/non-transferable fee due on registration.

Trip participants are responsible for all unforeseen cost overruns. Participants are also responsible for their own accommodations and transportation.

Participants who lead at least two trips/events for the Toronto Section subsequent to the course are eligible for 50% reimbursement.

GEAR: Personal climbing equipment (harness, shoes, belay device with a locking carabiner, and helmet). No trad protection required – provided by the guide.
