The Alpine Club of Canada, Toronto Section, working together with the Ontario Alliance of Climbers (formerly Ontario Access Coalition), is pleased to report that following productive discussions with the landowner, ice climbing will once again be tolerated at Bow Lake. Tolerated = Climbing access is informally accepted.  Tread lightly. Dear Mountaineers The North Face Leadership Course is The Alpine Club Of Canada’s flagship program for training aspiring section trip leaders. Through alpine environments and technical travel, these leadership courses emphasize the ‘human-factor’ in leader’s decision-making, applicable to ACC activities across Canada. The Toronto section can endorse up one candidate for the course. We are now accepting applications. The summer course will be offered between August 3rd and August 10th 2019 as part of the General Mountaineering Camp. The cost of the course is $1095+tax.
