There are several spots still available for our 2025 ACC Toronto Section Camp taking place July 13th to 18th at near Lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park, BC. Our section has secured the Elizabeth Parker Hut, one of the many huts available to club members. Tucked away between several mountains of the Bow Range along the Continental Divide, this trip offers a variety of climbing and hiking opportunities and a fantastic evening view! On January 12th, 2025, members of the Toronto Section of the ACC gathered at Boyne Valley Provincial Park to practice their Avalanche Skills hands-on. Following transceiver checks in the parking lot, the group hiked into the park where instructional demos were provided. The participants then spread out to practice beacon search techniques in three smaller groups. The day culminated with shovelling and probing in deep snow as part of a group search activity.
