WHEN: Saturday, October 4th, 2025
WHERE: Buffalo Crag at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area
DESCRIPTION: A top-rope and trad climbing outing at Buffalo Crag, open to both beginner and experienced climbers. There are no sport climbs at Buffalo Crag. Top ropes will be set up for beginner climbers; only experienced trad climbers will be allowed to lead trad routes. All participants should be comfortable with top-rope belaying.
MAX. PARTICIPANTS: 12, at the trip leader’s discretion and pending volunteer availability.
REQUIRED GEAR: Climbing helmet (mandatory), climbing harness, climbing shoes, belay device and pear-shaped locking carabiner and any other personal items (e.g. lunch & snacks for the day, water, appropriate clothing, day pack, etc., …).
OPTIONAL GEAR: Personal tether (e.g. Sewn sling, PAS, Petzl Connect, etc., …), 4 locking carabiners and cordellete (for setting up top-rope anchors), quickdraws, trad rack and rope.
COST: Participants are responsible for their own park reservations and gate fees to Conservation Halton Parks.

WAIVER: Please read the ACC waiver before attending. Members should ensure that their membership is up to date and have signed the online waiver. Non members should be prepared to sign a full-colour, paper copy of the waiver in ink upon arrival to the event.
