Family Day Weekend in Algoma

Blind River, Iron Bridge, Ontario (6 hours north of Toronto)
Departure will be Friday, Feb. 14 (after work); return on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020.

This is an ice climbing weekend in Algoma. There is normally lots of fantastic ice in the area, although conditions are lean to middling so far this year. There are multiple areas with multiple climbs between 20-50 metres high.

The group will be staying at a cottage at the Mountain View Camp on Lake Duborne, and at a cottage at Birch Lodge on Granary Lake, 13-14 kilometres north of Blind River. There’s room for up to 14 participants at the moment (with the possibility of renting another cottage, if more people are interested). Cost: $25-$35 per person per night, depending on how many people go.

TRANSPORTATION: Cars (carpooling when possible)
