Course: Wilderness First Aid

WHEN: Friday September 30, 7:00pm – Sunday October 2, 6:00pm

WHERE: Everton Scout Camp, 5286 7 Line, Guelph/Eramosa, ON N0B, Canada (~1 hour drive from downtown Toronto)
DESCRIPTION: CANADIAN RED CROSS WILDERNESS AND REMOTE FIRST AID CERTIFICATION
20+ hours of instruction by David Dick (Alpha Response). Highly recommend participants stay overnight on site to maximize instruction and training time, as well as allow night scenarios.
Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.
Also on site there is a cliff with a large ledge, making it a great teaching setting for climber focused first aid and rescue.

COST: $395 (HST included), includes books and accommodation. Recertification $295 (HST included). Does not include meals. 100% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit will be required for registration.
PRE-REQUESITES: None.
GEAR: None required.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Camping will be allowed on site, be prepared for the weather.
MAX PARTICIPANTS: 16 (Minimum of 8 participants required to offer this course)
WAIVER: Please read the waiver before attending and sign a color copy of it in ink upon arrival.
