We are happy to share an exciting opportunity from Avalanche Canada for backcountry users who identify as part of the 2sLGBTQIA+ community. The new BOLD backcountry grant was created by Avalanche Canada youth ambassador, Alana Norie, to help remove barriers to the backcountry for folks in the queer community. The recipient of the grant will receive an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, backpack, and an AST 1 course. It is open to people of all abilities and backcountry disciplines.
