Bold Backcountry Grant – deadline Mar 20

We are happy to share an exciting opportunity from Avalanche Canada for backcountry users who identify as part of the 2sLGBTQIA+ community.

The new BOLD backcountry grant was created by Avalanche Canada youth ambassador, Alana Norie, to help remove barriers to the backcountry for folks in the queer community. The recipient of the grant will receive an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, backpack, and an AST 1 course. It is open to people of all abilities and backcountry disciplines. We invite you to share this grant amongst your appropriate contacts.

The grant is open for applications from March 1 2023 until midnight on March 20. The recipient will be notified on March 31. Follow this link to the application to be considered for the grant. The BOLD grant is supported by Avalanche Canada, Mammut, ROI Outfitters, and BCA.

If you have any questions or concerns, or would like additional resources to help you share this grant, please do not hesitate to reach out to boldbackcountrygrant@avalanche.ca.
