Climbing: ACC Toronto Section Members Climbing Meet-Up – South Ontario Crags

WHEN: Dependent on specific occurrence – typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Dependent on specific occurrence – typically Rattlesnake Point/Mt. Nemo/Buffalo Crag/Devils Glen

DESCRIPTION:

Come connect with other ACC Toronto Section members and get your climbing on with a day of self-guided and self-directed rock climbing at [Rattlesnake Point/Mt. Nemo/Buffalo Crag/Devil’s Glen].

We’ll meet in the parking lot at 9:00 am before hiking in as a group at 9:30 am.  Once at the crag members are welcome to set top-ropes, and lead sport or trad climbs as they see fit.  Based on group preferences we’ll move along the crag sampling a variety of classic Ontario rock climbs. Members may break away from the main group to pursue specific self-guided objectives with other members, or may head out early.  Members are welcome to come with climbing partners prearranged, or to join up with other members during the meet-up.

Note if a member opts to climb with any non-ACC Toronto Section members at the crag, that member will be understood to have opted to no longer be a participant in this trip.

Members may share ropes and gear, but please ensure that your gear is well maintained and bring enough gear to be self-sufficient and safe.

This trip is suitable for competent outdoor climbers (lead or top-tope), but is not suitable for those new to or inexperienced with outdoor climbing. This is neither a guided trip nor a clinic. All members will be individually responsible for managing their own safety.
