Although unconfirmed, the quartet is confident they broke speed climbing records on Mounts Alpha and Serratus! This area will be the location of our 2024 Section Camp. The trip, starting in Chengdu, Sichuan and ending in Lhasa, Tibet featured major passes with elevation differences of 1500 m and 2000 m. Fay in the Moraine Lake region spending two nights at Neil Colgan Hut, the highest permanent building in Canada. Manda I (6510m) in the Gangotri Region region of the Indian Himalayas. It was the first successful Indian ascent from the north ridge and the overall second ascent of the mountain. The team comprised of members from Giripremi, a mountaineering club from Pune India. Climbers from the club have summited eight of the fourteen 8000m peaks over the last decade[1]
