Saturday, June 8, 2019 The Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot on Guelph Line and Colling Road Mount Nemo is the largest Escarpment crag in the Toronto area with more than 200 sport and trad routes. This trip is for more experienced climbers as there is a top-roping ban at Nemo — clifftop anchors for top ropes are not allowed.  Climbers must lead the route from the ground up and then place their own gear on existing fixed anchors if the others want to top-rope it. Saturday, August 17, 2019Metcalfe Rock, We will meet in the Lower Parking Lot at 10:30 am.  This will be a fun climbing day at Metcalfe Rock.  All climbing abilities are encouraged.  This is an excellent opportunity to get out with a great group of people, share climbing stories and hopefully conquer some new routes. Metcalfe Rock is one of several crags in the Beaver Valley area with splendid views, a short approach and a good number of moderate and difficult sport and trad routes. May 18-20, 2019, Bruce Trail from Burlington, through Mt Nemo, Crawford Lake, Kelso, and Niagara Escarpment to Speyside Nature Reserve Join us for three days, two nights of hiking on the Bruce Trail. We will bag 67 kms of trail. Test your gear and get in shape for extended trips later in the season. There will be hiking on Bruce Trail Maps 9 to 12, as we immerse ourselves in the outdoors. June 22-23, 2019 The Bon Echo 101 weekend has become a Toronto Section tradition. Climbers who have never been to Bon Echo for climbing are teamed up with experienced climbers to introduce them to this beautiful area.  Bon Echo has a large number of trad routes (no sport routes) on a cliff rising out of the lake and only accessible by boat or canoe. We regret to be cancelling climbing at Bon Echo on the Victoria Day long weekend. However, the extreme flooding on the Mazinaw Lake this spring has cost us two crucial weeks in the renovation process. The hut is still a construction site and the large volunteer work party set for the May 11 weekend had to be moved back to the long weekend. The flooding hobbled Smart’s Marina’s efforts to get its docks set up, so we couldn’t have our boat in the water as early as we were hoping to. This had a domino effect. The builder lost two […]

June 21 to 23rd – we will be climbing on the longest day of summer! This will be our 12th annual summer solstice camp and climb weekend at Rattlesnake Point. This popular event takes advantage of the long daylight hours, which allow you to maximize your time on the rock. The group will camp at campsite No. 13 off the lower parking lot on the Friday and Saturday night. It’s large and only two minutes from the comfort station.
