In order to be in compliance with Ontario’s Proof of Vaccination for High Risk Areas Legislation, The ACCTS Board of Directors has decided that, effective immediately, custodians at Bon Echo will request to see proof of 2nd vaccine before any participants at Bon Echo can use the hut or sauna. We are updating the calendar listings for the remainder of the trips to Bon Echo to indicate this. Given the change of policies, full refunds will be granted to anyone who asks for them.
Regardless of vaccination status, all members are still welcome to attend at Bon Echo. However, if you are not fully vaccinated, you will have to cook and eat outdoors and will be unable to use the sauna. Food can still be stored inside the hut.
The sauna is now open for 2 participants at a time, but must keep 6 feet apart (unless from the same household). We ask that any member using the sauna be careful exiting and entering as with any other entryway.
The ACCTS Board of Directors recognize the additional burden on custodians and thank them for their continued service to the club. These protocols must be put into place to continue to keep the hut open, and complete our fall season.
Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate through these constantly changing rules. If there are any concerns, please direct them to chair@alpineclubtoronto.ca.
