WHERE: Metcalfe Rock, meeting at parking lot on 10th Line at the designated time
DESCRIPTION: Metcalfe Rock is one of several crags in the Beaver Valley area with splendid views, a short approach and a good number of moderate and difficult sport and trad routes – excellent for climbers of all levels looking to test their mettle on Ontario limestone. This trip will focus on sport climbing, therefore several lead climbers will be needed. All participants must be comfortable with lead belaying. Familiarity with cleaning anchors is recommended.
MAX PARTICIPANTS: 10, at the organizer’s discretion.
GEAR: Helmet (mandatory), harness, climbing shoes, belay device and locking carabiner, slings and locking carabiners, rope, quickdraws and any other personal items (e.g. lunch, water, clothing, sunscreen, etc).
