Climbing: Rattlesnake Point – June 12

WHEN: Sunday, June 12, 2022 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Rattlesnake Point, meeting at upper parking lot at the designated time
DESCRIPTION: Rattlesnake Point is one of the most popular rock climbing areas near Toronto. The south-facing crag gets a lot of sun, has an easy approach and over 235 moderate sport and trad routes – perfect for the gym climber that has been aspiring to transition to the outdoors. This trip will focus on sport climbing, therefore several lead climbers will be needed. All participants must be comfortable with lead belaying. Familiarity with cleaning anchors is recommended. Please note that there is minimal shade so expect a fair amount of sun exposure; please pack accordingly.
MAX PARTICIPANTS: 10, at the organizer’s discretion.
GEAR: Helmet (mandatory), harness, climbing shoes, belay device and locking carabiner, slings and locking carabiners, rope, quickdraws and any other personal items (e.g. lunch, water, clothing, sunscreen, etc).
COST: Park entrance fee. Participants are responsible for making their own park reservations.
