DESCRIPTION:  Hiking and mountaineering trip in California – Oregon – Washington states.We will travel by car from south to north along Cascades Mountain range while gradually gaining altitude for acclimatization. After 3 days hiking in Yosemite (including the hike to summit Half Dome), we will attempt climbing Mount Shasta (4‎,322 m) if snow/ice routes (such as Avalanche route) will be available. Blind River, Iron Bridge, Ontario (6 hours north of Toronto)Departure will be Friday, Feb. 14 (after work); return on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020. This is an ice climbing weekend in Algoma. There is normally lots of fantastic ice in the area, although conditions are lean to middling so far this year. There are multiple areas with multiple climbs between 20-50 metres high. June 21 to 23rd – we will be climbing on the longest day of summer! This will be our 12th annual summer solstice camp and climb weekend at Rattlesnake Point. This popular event takes advantage of the long daylight hours, which allow you to maximize your time on the rock. The group will camp at campsite No. 13 off the lower parking lot on the Friday and Saturday night. It’s large and only two minutes from the comfort station.
