We are happy to share an exciting opportunity from Avalanche Canada for backcountry users who identify as part of the 2sLGBTQIA+ community. The new BOLD backcountry grant was created by Avalanche Canada youth ambassador, Alana Norie, to help remove barriers to the backcountry for folks in the queer community. This course taught by a certified instructor covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. By completing the course, you will receive the Canadian Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certificate which meets the high level of standards set by the Canadian Red Cross.
